Original 1946 10 inch x 8 inch Photo of LOU COSTELLO fund raising for the Motion Picture Mothers’ Club of Hollywood.
Text on reverse: LOU COSTELLO’S A B-AAD “MAMA”
Cigar smoking comedian Lou Costello donned dress and curls to participate in a fund raising drive for the Motion Picture Mothers’ Club of Hollywood. Lou, assisted by his partner Bud Abbott, operated the giant wheel of fortune in the background. “Mother” Costello and Abbott recently completed “Buck Privates Come Home” for Universal-International. The rehabilitation riot concerns the post-war problem of filmland’s most celebrated G.I.s. Abbott and Costello became the first victims of cinema conscription when they filmed “Buck Privates” in 1941.
The Still is in very good condition with minor surface marks and minor warping caused by snipe glued to the reverse.
