Original British 14 1/2 inch x 11 inch Poster for the 1954 Ralph Thomas Comedy MAD ABOUT MEN, based on a story by Peter Blackmore and starring Glynis Johns, Donald Sinden, Anne Crawford, Margaret Rutherford, Dora Bryan, Nicholas Phipps, Noel Purcell, Irene Handl, Joan Hickson, Judith Furse, Deryck Guyler, Meredith Edwards, Marianne Stone, George Woodbridge, Anthony Oliver, Dandy Nichols and Stringer Davis.
Story of mermaid who takes the place of a cousin ashore and wreaks havoc with hearts in a Cornish village.
Poster art by Georgio Olivetti. Born in Bologna in 1908. He has produced several film posters from the early 1940s through to the late 1960s. In the early 1960s in common with a number of leading Italian cinema poster artists, Olivetti worked briefly in Britain.
The poster is in very good condition with minor warping. There are credits and a synopsis on the reverse.
