Original British 30 inch x 40 inch Quad Poster for the 1946 Bernard Knowles Musical Biography THE MAGIC BOW, based on the novel by Manuel Komroff and starring Stewart Granger as violinist Nicolo Paganini, Phyllis Calvert, Jean Kent, Dennis Price, Cecil Parker, Felix Aylmer, Frank Cellier, Marie Lohr, Henry Edwards, Mary Jerrold, Betty Warren, Anthony Holles Anthony Holles, Eliot Makeham, O.B. Clarence and Charles Victor.

Biography of the famous Italian violinist Nicola Paganini which focuses as much on the musician’s romances as it does on his craft. Phyllis Calvert plays Jeanne de Vermond, the aristocratic French woman who captures Paganini’s heart, and real-life violin virtuoso Yehudi Menuhin supplies the breathtaking Paganini solos.

This is certainly one of the earliest Gainsborough Pictures quad posters to have survived.

The poster is in good to very good folded condition with a small piece out of each corner, 2 small pieces out of the bottom border and minor stains in the borders and visible in the ‘B’ of ‘BOW’.
