MAKE UP

Original British 17 inch x 22 inch Trade Advertisement removed from a British Film Trade Journal for the 1937 Alfred Zeisler Circus Drama MAKE UP, based on the novel by Hans Mahner-Mons and starring Nils Asther, June Clyde, Judy Kelly, John Turnbull, Lawrence Anderson, Norma Varden, Jill Craigie, Reginald Long and Kenneth Duncan.

Bux (Asther), a former surgeon who has become a successful clown, lives with his foster-daughter Joy (Clyde), who loves him and is jealous when, on a tour of England, he is seen everywhere with a glamorous model. Joy is pestered by lion-tamer Lorenzo (Duncan) and suspected of his murder when he is found dead. Bux returns to prove her innnocence – and realizes he loves her.

The Advertisement is in very good condition. There is one vertical centre fold. There is a 1 inch split at the top of the centre fold. There is a minor crease in both bottom corners.
