Malvina Longfellow (1889 – 1962) was an American born dark-haired beauty who starred in English drama films. A former model, trained at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City, made her stage debut at the Auditorium Theatre in Baltimore with ‘The Watcher’ in 1909, and also was part of a program of entertainment at the Century Theatre for British-American War Relief in January 1916. She married a British Officer who served in the Dardanelles in 1915. In English drama films from 1917 beginning with the film ‘Holy Orders’, but is perhaps best known for the title role in ‘The Romance of Lady Hamilton’ in 1919. She often played opposite actor/director A.E. Coleby for the I.B. Davidson Film Company. Through the 1920s she was working for the B&C Film Company and the Stoll Film Company until her retirement in 1929. She died in London, England age 72.
