Original 1954 Contemporary Films Release 8 1/8 inch by 6 inch Still of ALEKSEI LYARSKY & VARVARA MASSALITINOVA in the 1939 Mark Donskoy Biographical Drama MY APPRENTICESHIP (V LYUDYAKH), based on the book “Out in the World” by Maxim Gorky.

My Apprenticeship (V lyudyakh) was the second entry in Russian director Mark Donskoy’s “Maxim Gorki” trilogy. Picking up where 1938’s My Childhood left off, the story covers the years in Gorki’s life when the future writer (Alexei Lyarsky) was on his own, looking for a purpose and place in life. The still is in very good condition with a cast list tacked to the reverse.
