Original 1883 16 5/8 inch x 12 3/4 inch Etching and Engraving titled NEW EXAMINATION SCHOOLS
Etched by Robert Kent Thomas (1816 – 1884). Robert Kent Thomas was a British painter, etcher and lithographer. Although he is best-known for his highly detailed architectural and topographical prints.
Drawn by Thomas Graham Jackson (1835 – 1924). Sir Thomas Graham Jackson, 1st Baronet RA was one of the most distinguished English architects of his generation. He is best remembered for his work at Oxford for Oxford Military College as well as the University, notably: the Examination Schools, most of Hertford College (including the Bridge of Sighs over New College Lane), much of Brasenose College, a range at Trinity College, and the Acland Nursing Home in North Oxford.
The engraving is in very good condition a one inch tear at the bottom edge and minor age-related defects.
