Nigel Patrick (1913 – 1981) was a leading man and character player of the British stage and screen with a penchant for playing cynics. The son of an actor and actress, he made his stage debut in 1932 and his first film appearance in 1939 in “Mrs Pym of Scotland Yard”. His film career took shape after his return from WWII service as a lieutenant colonel in the infantry. He directed a number of plays and two films. He was married to actress Beatrice Campbell from 1951.
The portrait is in very good condition. Reverse side blank.
