Original French 47 inch x 63 inch Poster for the 1975 Jean-Luc Godard Drama NUMERO DEUX starring Sandrine Battistella, Pierre Oudrey, Alexandre Rignault, Rachel Stefanopoli and Jean-Luc Godard.

An experimental film about a young family in a social housing complex in France. The film’s distinct style involves presenting two images on screen simultaneously, leading to multiple interpretations of the story and to comments on the film-making and editing process.

The poster art is by Clément Hurel (1927 – 2008). Early in his career he worked regularly with Gaumont, RKO, Société Nouvelle de Cinématographie and Hammer Film Productions. He produced more than 1,500 posters, and along with René Ferracci, Boris Grinsson, Michel Landi and Jean Mascii, was one of the most prolific authors of cinema posters in France during the second half of the twentieth century.
