Both documentary and fiction film, La Femme Spectacle denounces modern society which makes women a commodity, an object, a tool for work or pleasure, through aesthetic institutes, fashion magazines and striptease. We discover a new, very strange world, where the ordinary woman strives to be a femme fatale, where the woman in love becomes murderous, where the stripper turns out to be a transvestite. Finally, a world where the everyday woman is a permanent spectacle.
