View of Colchester, the towers and spires of numerous churches rising above the numerous houses, the castle and other buildings of the town, trees and gardens throughout the town, the River Coln flowing through the centre-ground with buildings lining the banks, boats and ships on the water with a bridge spanning the banks, windmills on the hills beyond, elegant ladies to the foreground.
