Original British 11 3/4 inch x 8 3/4 inch Poster for the 1927 William Beaudine Comedy RED HOT RILEY (THE LIFE OF RILEY), based on a story by Mann Page and starring Charles Murray, George Sidney, Stephen Carr, June Marlowe and Myrtle Stedman .

Riley (Murray) is the local fire chief and general-store proprietor; Meyer (Sidney) is the police chief and rival store-owner. Both Riley and Meyer vie for the attentions of the Widow Jones (Myrtle Steadman), who is partial to both men. The plot centers upon a revolutionary fire extinguisher invented by Riley, an essential factor in the outcome of the romantic rivalry.
