Original British 12 inch x 9 1/2 inch 8 page illustrated Campaign Book for the 1956 Raoul Walsh Drama THE REVOLT OF MAMIE STOVER, based on the novel by William Bradford Huie and starring Jane Russell, Richard Egan, Joan Leslie, Agnes Moorehead, Jorja Curtright, Michael Pate, Richard Coogan, Alan Reed, Eddie Firestone and Jean Willes.
A young lady of the night is forced out of San Francisco and sets up shop with great success in Hawaii before love intervenes.
The cover artwork is by A. “Jock” W. Hinchliffe.
Hinchliffe was born in Perth, Scotland. In 1953 he had a studio in Chalk Farm, North London, where he produced a series of six oil paintings as publicity for 20th Century Fox’s “The Robe”. He had been engaged by Fox in 1926 and produced posters and ads continuously for them, and for Disney, well into the 1960s.
The campaign book is in very good condition.
