Original British 30 inch x 40 inch Quad Poster for the 1940 Walter Forde Ealing Studios Comedy SAILORS THREE starring Claude Hulbert, Tommy Trinder, Michael Wilding, Carla Lehmann, James Hayter, Jeanne De Casalis, Henry Hewitt, Brian Fitzpatrick, John Laurie, Harold Warrender, Eric Clavering, John Glyn-Jones, Manning Whiley, Allan Jeayes, Alec Clunes, Derek Elphinstone and Danny Green.
During the Second World War, three Royal Navy sailors on a drunken spree in a Brazilian neutral port mistake a German ship for their own and climb aboard. It turns out to be a pocket battleship, the Ludendorff, and to the credit of the Royal Navy, the trio manages to capture the ship and all the Germans on board.
The poster is in very good folded condition with a Warners Bros ink stamp upside down in the top border. The poster is printed on the reverse of part of another poster, a common practice with wartime paper shortage.
