Original U.S. 14 inch x 36 inch Insert Poster for the 1949 Fred M. Wilcox Fantasy THE SECRET GARDEN, based on the novel by Frances Hodgson Bennett and starring Margaret O’Brien, Herbert Marshall, Dean Stockwell, Gladys Cooper, Elsa Lanchester, Brian Roper, Reginald Owen and George Zucco.

Tempestuous orphan girl Mary Lennox (O’Brien) is sent to live with her reclusive, long-widowed uncle Archibald Craven (Marshall). The embittered Craven has an invalid son (Stockwell), with whom the troublesome Mary constantly clashes. Things soon change after Mary discovers the key to an abandoned garden.
