Original French 12 1/4 inch x 8 3/4 inch 8 Page Illustrated Pressbook for the 1927 Harry d’Abbadie d’Arrast Comedy SERVICE FOR LADIES (MONSIEUR ALBERT), based on the novel “The Head Waiter” by Ernest Vajda and starring Adolphe Menjou, Kathryn Carver, Charles Lane, Lawrence Grant and Andre Cheron.
Albert Leroux, headwaiter at an exclusive Paris hotel, falls hopelessly in love with Elizabeth Foster, an American heiress, though he is convinced that she will never admire a waiter.
Cover art by René Brantonne (1903 – 1979). René Brantonne worked as an advertising artist and illustrator from the mid-1920s. He designed posters for French films distributed across the Atlantic by Paramount Pictures , MGM , Universal and Columbia.
The pressbook is in very good condition with minor wear along the spine.
