Superb non-action Western from Wayne and director Siegel, as Big John faces the final ride into the sunset, struck down not by the baddy’s bullet but (as in real life) by the danger within – cancer. Sedate and elegaic, this haunting movie about old age, illness and death, cannily exploiting the Wayne legend, is beautifully written and impeccably played.

Poster art by Richard Amsel (1947 – 1985). An American illustrator and graphic designer. His career was prolific, including movie posters, album covers, and magazine covers.

The poster is in very good folded condition.
