SIERRA BARON

Original British 30 inch x 40 inch Quad Poster for the 1958 James B. Clark Western SIERRA BARON, based on the novel “Sierra Baron” by Thomas Wakefield Blackburn and starring Brian Keith, Rick Jason, Rita Gam, Mala Powers, Steve Brodie, Carlos Muzquiz, Pedro Galvan, Enrique Lucero, Lynne Ehrlich, Tommy Riste, Allan Lewis, Lee Morgan and Alberto Mariscal.

This western is set in 1848 California, about a brother and sister battling a crooked businessman over property rights.

The poster artwork is by A. “Jock” W. Hinchliffe.
Hinchliffe was born in Perth, Scotland. In 1953 he had a studio in Chalk Farm, North London, where he produced a series of six oil paintings as publicity for 20th Century Fox’s “The Robe”. He had been engaged by Fox in 1926 and produced posters and ads continuously for them, and for Disney, well into the 1960s.

The poster is in very good folded condition with a small piece out of the top left corner, a 1 inch tear at the top edge, 2 small holes bottom right, corner pinholes, minor creasing and other minor faults.
