Original Argentine 29 inch x 43 inch Poster for the 1963 Ingmar Bergman Drama THE SILENCE (TYSTNADEN) starring Ingrid Thulin, Gunnel Lindblom, Birger Malmsten, Hakan Jahnberg and Jorgen Lindstrom.

Bergman classic that challenged the censor at the time. Frustrated sisters Thulin and Lindblom stay over at a hotel somewhere in Europe where tanks are rumbling by. Thulin has lesbian fantasies and makes love to herself, while Lindblom abandons her gloomy 10-year-old son while she makes love to a barkeeper. Claustrophobic and chilly, Sven Nykvist’s photography and the Bach soundtrack give it a ravishing surface. The conclusion of the trilogy started with Through a Glass Darkly and Winter Light.

The poster is in very good folded condition. There are extra fold lines about 1 to 2 inches in on all sides. There are corner pinholes.
