Original British 10 inch x 8 1/2 inch 24 page Illustrated Brochure for the 1951 Michael Powell & Emeric Pressburger Musical Fantasy THE TALES OF HOFFMANN, an adaptation of the opera by Jacques Offenbach and starring Moira Shearer, Robert Rounseville, Ludmilla Tchérina, Pamela Brown, Léonide Massine, Robert Helpmann and Frederick Ashton.

In this exhilarating fantasy opera, a poet dreams of three women—a mechanical performing doll, a bejeweled siren, and the consumptive daughter of a famous composer—all of whom break his heart in different ways.

Cover art by Hein Heckroth (1901 – 1970). Heckroth was a German art director of stage and film productions. He was nominated for two Academy Awards for his art direction and costume designs for The Tales of Hoffmann.

The brochure is in good condition with a slight cover wear and separation down the spine.
