Original French 47 inch x 63 inch Poster for the 1933 Henri Diamant-Berger Adventure LES TROIS MOUSQUETAIRES, based on the novel by Alexandre Dumas and starring Blanche Montel, Aimé Simon-Girard, Edith Méra, Henri Rollan, Thomy Bourdelle, Jean-Louis Allibert, Marcelle Monthil, Geneviève Félix, Lulu Vattier, Andrée Lafayette, Hélène Larra, Fernand Francell, Renée Varville, Maurice Escande, Georges Tourreil and Harry Baur.

Young d’Artagnan leaves Gascony for Paris where he hopes to become a Musketeer of the Guard. He befriends three Musketeers, Athos, Porthos and Aramis and follows them in their adventures, notably on a secret mission to uncover a plot contrived against the Queen by Cardinal Richelieu.

The poster is by Guy Arnoux (1886 – 1951). Illustrator and graphic designer.

The poster is in good folded condition with a piece out at the bottom, a 1933 Police Censor Stamp top right, 3 small pieces of excess paper, 3 small stains and ink bleed at the left end of the central horizontal fold from the title written on the reverse.
