Original U.S. 27 inch x 41 inch 1-Sheet Poster for the 1965 Robert Parrish War Movie UP FROM THE BEACH, based on the novel by George Barr and starring Cliff Robertson, Red Buttons, Irina Demick, Marius Goring, James Robertson Justice, Slim Pickens and Broderick Crawford.
After the D-Day landings in June 1944, a US squadron liberates a small village in Normandy from German occupation.
Poster art by Frank McCarthy (1924 – 2002). McCarthy was an American artist and realist painter known for advertisements, magazine artwork, paperback covers, film posters, and paintings of the American West.
The poster is in good to very good folded condition with a 2 inch tear at the left of the bottom fold which also has a few short cross fold tears and minor separation.
