Original 1920 10 inch x 8 inch Black and White Portrait of VIOLET HEMING.
Violet Heming was born in Leeds, Yorkshire in 1895. She was educated at Malvern House School, Southport and at the age of appeared as “Wendy” in “Peter Pan” and later created the role of Rebecca in “Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm.” Previous to her appearance as a star in Paramount Pictures she was seen on the stage as leading lady for George Arliss and also in the highly successful production of “Three Faces East.” Her screen career started under the direction of the Goldwyn Company and in the year this photo was taken she was working for the Famous Players-Lasky Corporation.
