VOICE OF THE MOON

Original French 47 inch x 63 inch Poster for the 1990 Federico Fellini Drama VOICE OF THE MOON (LA VOCA DELLA LUNA), adapted from a novel by Ermano Cavazzoni and starring Roberto Benigni, Paolo Villaggio, Nadia Ottaviani, Marisa Tomasi, Angelo Orlando and Sim.

The Voice of the Moon concerns itself with Ivo Salvini (Roberto Benigni, Life Is Beautiful), recently released from a mental hospital and in love with Aldini (Nadia Ottaviani). As he attempts to win her heart, he wanders a strange, dreamlike landscape and encounters various oddball characters, including Gonnella (Paolo Villagio, Fantozzi), a paranoid old man prone to conspiracy theories.

Poster art by Michel Jouin (1936 – 2018). A French illustrator and poster designer. He started as a designer in advertising and became artistic director in several agencies. In the 1960s, he started publishing and, in the 80s, devoted himself to movie posters.

The poster is in fine folded condition.
