Original 9 1/2 inch x 7 1/4 inch Portrait of BENNY HILL reading a copy of Black Mask in the 1956 Basil Dearden Ealing Studios Comedy WHO DONE IT?.
Text attached to reverse: Stage, radio and television comedian Benny Hill playing a private detective with a passion for lurid thrillers was obviously surprised at the way this story turned out, during a break in shooting on his first film, the Michael Balcon-Ealing Studios production “WHO DONE IT?”, directed and produced by Basil Dearden and Michael Relph.
An amateur detective and his girl friend try to capture a gang of saboteurs much to the annoyance of the police.
The portrait is in very good condition with 2 short tears at the left edge and a tiny piece loose in the bottom right corner.
