Original 1968 Re-Release French 31 inch x 47 inch Poster for the 1929 Luis Buñuel Fantasy UN CHIEN ANDALOU (AN ANDALUSIAN DOG) starring Simone Mareuil, Pierre Batcheff, Luis Buñuel, Salvador Dalí, Robert Hommet, Marval, Fano Messan and Jaume Miravitlles.

Buñuel’s first film was initially released in 1929 with a limited showing at Studio des Ursulines in Paris, but became popular and ran for eight months. A classic, revolutionary short film, Un Chien Andalou abandons linear narrative for a dream-like succession of provocative, unexplained images, from ants devouring a man’s hand to the infamous eyeball slit by a razor. This collaboration between Luis Bunuel and Salvador Dali is an essential masterpiece of the surrealist movement.
