A woman three-quarter length to front, looking down at a bunch of flowers held in her left hand, wearing an turban, embroidered dress with jewel at neck, shawl and striped skirts with sash, a string of pearls wrapped around her right wrist.
Engraving by Samuel Sangster (1805 – 1872). Line-engraver. He was a pupil of William Finden.
From a painting by Henry William Pickersgill, R.A. (1782 – 1875). Henry William Pickersgill RA was an English painter specialising in portraits. He was a Royal Academician for almost fifty years, and painted many of the most notable figures of his time.
Published by McQueen & Co.. Copperplate printing and publishing family firm, founded by William Benjamin McQueen.
