Original British 12 1/4 inch x 9 1/4 inch 8 page illustrated Pressbook for the 1954 Luis Bunuel Adventure THE ADVENTURES OF ROBINSON CRUSOE, based on the famous novel by Daniel Defoe and starring Dan O’Herlihy, James Fernandez, Felipe de Alba, Chel Lopez and Jose Chavez.
While on a trip to acquire a boatload of slaves, Robinson Crusoe’s (Dan O’Herlihy) ship is wrecked upon the shore of a remote island. There, he must learn to survive with the help of his slave, Friday. Director Luis Bunuel injects his adaptation of Daniel Dafoe’s classic adventure novel with compelling elements of morality and religion. O’Herlihy was nominated for an Academy Award for his performance. This was both Bunuel’s first color film and his only English language production.
The Pressbook is in very good condition with 2 punch holes at the left edge.
