Original circa 1914 12 1/8 inch x 9 1/2 inch Etching titled AN OLD HANSE-TOWN
It is dated (1883) and signed by the artist in the plate with his characteristic monogramme.
Drawn and etched by Axel Herman Haig (1835 – 1921). Axel Herman Haig was a Swedish-born artist and illustrator. His paintings, illustrations and etchings, undertaken for himself and on behalf of many of the foremost architects of the Victorian period made him “the Piranesi of the Gothic Revival”.
