Howard Koch was born in New York City in 1916. He started out as a runner on Wall Street, then entered films as an assistant cutter at Fox. Later he progressed from assistant director to second unit director and finally, in the 1950s, director and producer of low-and medium-budget films for various studios. In the early 1960s he acted as executive producer of Frank Sinatra Enterprises and in 1965 was appointed vice president in charge of production at Paramount and subsequently produced a number of expensive pictures. He died in Los Angeles in 2001.

Eddie Egan was the tough-talking New York City police officer whose exploits inspired the Academy Award winning film The French Connection (1971).

The poster is in very good folded condition and signed “Aug. 6, 1980 – Howard W. Koch”.
