Original 1963 Re-Release Russian 30 1/2 inch x 40 1/4 inch Poster for the 1946 Leonid Lukov Russian Drama BOLSHAYA ZHIZN (A GREAT LIFE) – Part 2, based on the novel by Pavel Nilin and starring Boris Andreyev, Pyotr Alejnikov, Vera Shershnyova, Mark Bernes and Lavrenti Masokha.
The film received the Stalin award in 1939 and was devoted to work and life in the Donets coal basin in the Ukraine in the thirties.
Poster art by Alexander Iosifovich Shamash (1915–1987). Soviet graphic artist, poster artist and journalist. Member of the Union of Artists (MOSH) and the Union of Journalists of the USSR. His posters are stored in the collections of the Russian State Library.
The poster is in very good folded condition.
