Original British 16 3/4 inch x 10 3/4 inch Trade Advertisement from Kinematograph Weekly for the 1954 Delmer Daves Historical Drama DEMETRIUS AND THE GLADIATORS, based on a character created by Lloyd C. Douglas in “The Robe” and starring Victor Mature, Susan Hayward, Michael Rennie, Debra Paget, Anne Bancroft, Jay Robinson, Barry Jones and William Marshall.
In 1st century Rome, Christian slave Demetrius is sent to fight in the gladiatorial arena and Emperor Caligula seeks Jesus’ robe for its supposedly magical powers.
The Advertisement is in very good condition with a vertical centre fold. It appears to have been very professionally, but ownly slightly, trimmed at some time.
