Original British 17 inch x 11 inch Trade Advertisement for the 1941 Robert Florey Thriller THE FACE BEHIND THE MASK starring Peter Lorre, Evelyn Keyes, Don Beddoe, George E. Stone and John Tyrrell.

Lorre’s on top form as the Hungarian watchmaker in America who wears a mask after he’s badly burnt in a fire. He takes over a crime syndicate, but when he helps blind Keyes the mobsters think he’s a ratted on them.

The Advertisement is in very good condition.

Trade advertisements are colourful posters aimed at cinema managers, which were either slipped in, or part of, the weekly film trade journals which were available to them by subscription but were not sold to the general public. Most have the date in tiny letters in one of the top corners.
