Original British 30 inch x 40 inch Quad Poster style C for the 1964 Anthony Mann Historical Epic THE FALL OF THE ROMAN EMPIRE, based on “The History of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire” by Edward Gibbon and starring Sophia Loren, Stephen Boyd, Alec Guinness, James Mason, Christopher Plummer, John Ireland, Mel Ferrer, Omar Sharif, Anthony Quayle, Eric Porter, Finlay Currie, Andrew Keir, Douglas Wilmer, George Murcell and Norman Wooland.

The death of Marcus Aurelius leads to a succession crisis, in which the deceased emperor’s son, Commodus, demonstrates that he is unwilling to let anything undermine his claim to the Roman Empire.

The poster is in very good folded condition with a couple of small holes left nd right and slight creasing. The hole on the left was caused by a sliver of surface paper lifted from the reverse.
