Original circa 1896 12 inch x 9 1/2 inch etching titled HER MAJESTY THE QUEEN.

Portrait of Queen Victoria; three quarter length; seated on throne to left, holding fan and handkerchief; wearing small Diamond Crown with veil and sash; one elbow resting on table holding state papers from the Treasury.

Print by Edward C Slocombe (1850 – 1915). Born in London and part of a noted family of artists, Slocombe was a painter, etcher and mezzotint engraver. Some of his etchings were published in The Art Journal and the Portfolio, also a number of etchings of church bulidings were published by the Fine Art Society. He was a member of the Royal Society of Painter-Etchers.
