Original British 17 inch x 11 inch Trade Advertisement from Kinematograph Weekly for the 1947 H. Bruce Humberstone Horse Racing Drama THE HOMESTRETCH starring Cornel Wilde, Maureen O’Hara, Glenn Langan, Helen Walker, James Gleason, Henry Stephenson, Margaret Bannerman, Ethel Griffies and Tommy Cook.

A young couple’s marriage is threatened by the husband’s love of horses and the racetrack circuit. The film includes footage of world-famous race tracks including Ascot, Palermo in Buenos Aires, Churchill Downs, Jamaica, Aqueduct, Hollywood Park, Santa Anita, Belmont, Hialeah, Arlington and Saratoga in the United States.

Hinchliffe was born in Perth, Scotland. In 1953 he had a studio in Chalk Farm, North London, where he produced a series of six oil paintings as publicity for 20th Century Fox’s “The Robe”. He had been engaged by Fox in 1926 and produced posters and ads continuously for them, and for Disney, well into the 1960s.

The Advertisement is in very good condition with a vertical centre fold with 2 staple holes along it.
