Text attached to reverse: Phipps takes Norman into his flat when she escapes from a car crash which he has witnessed from his window, and she pleads with him not to hand her over to the police as she is “on probation”.
Photograph by Roy Gough. Gough gravitated into photography via commercial art and design using a Box Brownie for taking visual notes. By the mid-thirties he was concentrating exclusively on photography. He entered the film industry in 1943.
The still is in good trimmed condition with a 3/4 inch tear at the right edge and minor warping caused by snipe tacked to reverse.
