Original French 47 inch x 63 inch Poster for the 1983 Andrzej Wajda Drama A LOVE IN GERMANY (EINE LIEBE IN DEUTSCHLAND), based on the novel by Rolf Hochhuth and starring Hanna Schygulla, Piotr Lysak, Armin Mueller-Stahl, Daniel Olbrychski, Bernhard Wicki, Otto Sander and Marie-Christine Barrault.

A stranger visits the village of Brombach, Germany, near the Swiss border in order to understand what happened there to his mother, Pauline, during the Second World War. In 1941, she was running her husband’s shop while he served as a soldier at the front and she fell in love with the Polish forced labourer Stanislaw. The lovers were denounced, and the neighbours were complicit in Pauline’s detainment and deportation and in Stanislaw’s execution.
