Dr Richard Pulteney (1730 – 1801) was an English physician and botanist. He was a promoter of Linnaean taxonomy.
Engraved by Piercy Roberts. Caricaturist, printmaker and publisher.
After Thomas Beach (1738 – 1806). Thomas Beach was an English portrait painter who studied under Sir Joshua Reynolds.
Lettered below image: “Painted by T. Beach / Engraved by P. Roberts No.28 Middle Row Holborn”; and below title: “Lond: & Edingb: & FLS”.
