STORY OF THE GOLDEN BOOT

Original Polish 23 inch x 33 inch Poster for the 1961 Sylwester Checinski Medieval Fantasy STORY OF THE GOLDEN BOOT (HISTORIA ZOFTEJ CIZEMKI), based on the novel by Antonina Domanska and starring Gustaw Holoubek, Andrzej Szczepkowski, Marek Kondrat, Bronislaw Pawlik and Tadeusz Bialoszczynski.

Set in the Middle Ages the film tells the story of a wonder child, the little sculptor Wawrzek, who goes to work for a great master, Wit Stwosz. The story culminates in the unveiling of Stwosz’s greatest masterpiece, the Altar of St. Mary’s Church in Cracow.

The poster is in very good folded condition. Some writing on the reverse bleeds through in the credit area.
