Original British 30 inch x 40 inch Quad Poster for the 1975 Herbert Ross Comedy THE SUNSHINE BOYS, based on the play by Neil Simon and starring Walter Matthau, George Burns, Richard Benjamin, Lee Meredith, Carol Arthur and Howard Hesseman.
Jack Benny died before he could make his screen comeback in this lively version of Neil Simon’s play about 2 aged, feuding vaudeville comics, but Burns proved an excellent replacement, gently milking every line in his first film since 1939. Matthau is the perfect foil.
Poster art by Al Hirschfeld (1903 – 2003). An American caricaturist best known for his black and white portraits of celebrities and Broadway stars.
The poster is in very good folded condition with corner pinholes, a crease in the top right corner and minor fold wear.
