View of the ten gates in two rows of five, namely Bishopsgate, Cripplegate, Ludgate, Newgate, Moorgate, Aldgate, Bridgegate, Aldersgate, Templebar and Whitehall Gate; surrounded by thin frame festooned and garlanded; illustration to Thornton’s History of London.
Etched by J.G. Wooding (active 1780 – 1790).

The etching is in very good condition with general age-related foxing and minor defects from handling.
