Original 17 1/2 inch x 11 inch British Pressbook for the 1940 Pen Tennyson Ealing Studios War Film CONVOY starring Clive Brook, John Clements, Edward Chapman, Judy Campbell, Penelope Dudley-Ward, Edward Rigby, Allan Jeayes, Michael Wilding, Harold Warrender, David Hutcheson, George Carney, Charles Farrell, John Laurie, George Benson, Hay Petrie, Mervyn Johns, Albert Lieven, John Wengraf, Edward Lexy, John Glyn-Jones, Patrick Holt and Stewart Granger.

Stiff-lipped sterling account of life at sea, in which Lieven’s German battleship menaces a British convoy coming back from Norway. Pen Tennyson had joined the navy as a lieutenant at the age of 23 and was about to take charge of the Admiralty’s Educational Film Unit. On 7 July 1941 he was flying from Shetland to the naval base at Rosyth in a small Fleet Air Arm plane when it crashed, killing all those on board.

The pressbook has 8 illustrated pages and is in very good condition with conservation tape along the spine.
