Original Polish 23 inch x 33 inch Poster for the 1973 Krzysztof Zanussi Polish Drama ILLUMINATION starring Stanislaw Latallo, Monika Denisiewicz-Olbrzychska, Malgorzata Ptritulak, Edward Zebrowski, Jan Skotnicki, Wlodzimierz Zonn, Bogdan Mielnik, Wladyslaw Turski, Wlodzimierz Zawadzki, Lukasz Turski and K. Ernst.

Krzysztof Zanussi’s groundbreaking film chronicles a decade in the life of a young physics student whose absolute faith in the primacy of rationality and science is shaken by tragedy and affairs of the heart.

Poster art by Franciszek Starowieyski (1930 – 2009).

Franciszek Starowieyski was a painter, illustrator, printmaker, poster artist, theatre and TV set designer dividing his time between the ateliers of Warsaw and Paris, making some 300 posters and earning the name of one of the finest representatives of the Polish school of posters.

The poster is in very good condition with one horizontal fold. Will be shipped rolled.
