Original Polish 23 inch x 33 1/2 inch Poster for the 1958 Jiri Krejcik, Jaroslav Mach & Milos Makovec 3 part Fantasy OF THINGS SUPERNATURAL (O VECECH NADPRIROZENYCH ), based on short stories by Karel Capek and starring Ladislav Pesek, Vlastimil Brodský, Felix Le Breux and Bohus Záhorský in the segment “A Halo”, Oldrich Nový, Irena Kacírková, Jaroslav Marvan, Elena Hálková and Milos Kopecký in the segment “The Secret of a Handwriting” and Jan Pelikan, Frantisek Filipovský, Bohus Rendl, Darja Hajská and Jan S. Kolár in the segment “A Legal Case”.
Poster art by Franciszek Starowieyski (1930 – 2009).
Franciszek Starowieyski was a painter, illustrator, printmaker, poster artist, theatre and TV set designer dividing his time between the ateliers of Warsaw and Paris, making some 300 posters and earning the name of one of the finest representatives of the Polish school of posters.
The poster is in very good condition with 1 horizontal fold.
