Original 9 3/4 inch x 7 5/8 inch Portrait of SALLY GRAY in the 1947 Brian Desmond Hurst Crime Drama THE MARK OF CAIN, based on the novel Airing in a Closed Carriage by Joseph Shearing.
Portrait by Arthur Evans. Evans entered the film industry in 1933 as still photographer after being engaged on portrait, stage and advertising photography.
Based on the true life murder trial of Florence Maybrick who spent fourteen years in custody before being acquitted.
The portrait is in very good condition with minor creases at the right edge and bottom right corner.
