Original Polish 26 inch x 38 inch Poster for the 1978 Andre Cayatte Drama LA RAISON D’ETAT starring Jean Yanne, Monica Vitti, Michel Bouquet and François Périer.

In this political drama, the dirty undercover machinations behind the international arms trade are exposed when Angela (Monica Vitti) unsuspectingly accepts some documents from a friend. She becomes the object of a hunt by French government forces, headed by Leroi (Jean Yanne).The government feels that it is vitally necessary that the public not get wind of the truly distasteful aspects of this large international industry.

Poster art by Marek Ploza-Dolinski (1950 – 2017). A Polish artist, graphic artist, poster artist and painter born in Warsaw. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and the State College of Fine Arts in Lódz at the Faculty of Graphic Arts. During his studies, he collaborated with the literary monthly “New Express”. In 1978-1991 he worked for advertising agencies producing around 300 posters for both film and theatre, as well as advertising, cultural and social. His works are in the collections of the Poster Museum in Wilanów and the National Museum of Digitization. He created movie posters for such films as “Agony”, “A Bridge Too Far and “Coup d’Etat”. He has also designed around 1000 book covers, several hundred illustrations (including satirical ones), created logos, vignettes and graphic designs. He also dealt with typography, exhibition and set design. In the 1990s, he focused exclusively on painting. In 1987, he was included in the group of 200 best graphic designers in the world by the Japanese IDEA magazine.
