Original 1965 Re-Release Polish 23 inch x 33 inch Poster for the 1934 Sergei & Georgi Vasiliev Historical Drama CHAPAYEV starring Boris Babochkin, Leonid Kmit, Varvara Myasnikova, Boris Blinov, Illarion Pevtsov, Nikolai Simonov, Boris Chirkov, Stepan Shkurat, Vyacheslav Volkov, Emil Gal, Mikhail Gipsi, Konstantin Nazarenko, Mikhail Rostovtsev, Georgi Vasilyev, Elena Volyntseva, Viktor Yablonskiy, Georgi Zhzhyonov and Kostiantyn Mukhutdinov.
The film is a story about Vasily Ivanovich Chapaev (1887–1919), a Red Army commander who became a hero of the Russian Civil War.
Poster art by Stanislaw Zamecznik (1909 – 1971). Zamecznik was a Polish graphic artist, poster artist, scenographer and architect. He was a professor of the State Higher School of Fine Arts, Poznan (now the Academy of Fine Arts).
The poster is in very good condition. The poster was originally folded but has been stored flat for several years so will be shipped in gorilla proof tube.
