Mulcaster, Robert Griffith, Olive Walter, Manning Whiley, Irene Handl, George Merritt, Albert Sandler and his orchestra with Helen Hill and the London Symphony Orchestra with soloist Heddle Nash.
On the film’s release, three weeks after V-E Day, the film became a huge popular success, seeming to catch the mood of a nation just beginning to emerge from war.
