Original British 17 inch x 11 inch Double-Sided Trade Advertisement from Kinematograph Weekly for the 1940 Harold D. Schuster Romantic Comedy MA! HE’S MAKING EYES AT ME, based on the story “Fashions For Sale” by Ed Sullivan and starring Constance Moore, Tom Brown, Richard Carle, Anne Nagel, Jerome Cowan, Elisabeth Risdon and Fritz Feld.
A public-relations man rescues a high-class fashion salon from bankruptcy by devising a clever publicity gimmick.
On the reverse is the 1940 Harold D. Schuster Adventure SOUTH TO KARANGA starring Charles Bickford, James Craig, Luli Deste, John Sutton and Maurice Moscovitch.
The film was originally called Bombay Uprising but was relocated from India to Africa out of fear of offending British audiences. It was known as South to Katanga before being changed to South to Karanga. Dick Foran was to play to lead but fell ill and was replaced by James Craig.
The Advertisement is in very good condition with a soft horizontal fold and a couple of scuff marks.
